1840 4th Duke of Grafton, George Fitzroy, built 6 model farmhouses in the locality to encourage a better class of tenant and increase rent revenue.
1841 Whitton Family moved into Caswell House.
1934 Geoffrey Gaut joins the Plessey Company as a graduate.
1940 Bombing in Ilford intense with Plessey research facility a target. New premises sought. Caswell purchased by the Plessey Company at auction and leased to Mr & Mrs Gaut.
1948 Research & development included radar camouflage materials (dubbed "Stealth" by the US), high temperature materials, iron flake transformer cores and high permittivity ceramics.
1949 Research and development of a composition for manufacture for disc capacitors for TV receivers.
1956 The first new building of 4000 sq ft added.
1950 - 1960 Combination of technical breakthroughs lead to huge commercial opportunities for military and civil applications incuding small boat radar, burglar alarms, police radar for speed traps. Caswell House & Stables becomes Grade II listed.
1963 Design and production of digital circuits, production of solid circuits, production of 100s of working circuits of a six-transistor DC amplifier with feedback. Visitors limited to enable works to continue undisturbed.
1964 Allen Clark Research Centre opened by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
1970 - 1980 Major breakthroughs in LED, solid state and infrared technology. R & D continues in optical fibre transmission systems, magnetic bubble and holographic memory storage, thermal imaging and Gunn diodes. Compound semi-conductors.
1974 Queen's Award for Technological Innovation for Process III for the production of bipolar integrated circuits.
1976 Harold Crystal receives a Grant of Appointment of the Queen's Award for Technological Achievement for development of gallium arsenide microwave devices.
1978 IR 100 award (top 100 outstanding innovations) for joint project with Square D for high power reed relay and improvements on silver cadnium oxide contact pads. X band chip developed stunning the market and outraging the traditionalists.

2002 Bookham Technology take over the Park
2004 Bookham Technology announce closure of GaAs line to concentrate on InP optical components.

2009 First tenants arrive and occupy serviced office space in Caswell House.
2010 Bookham becomes Oclaro Technology following merger. Increased demand for office space leads to development of Caswell Stables into eight suites.
2012 Oclaro and Opnext merge to create world's #2 provider of optical components, modules & subsystems. Demand for serviced offices outstrips supply and plans are approved for new conversion to create eight New Serviced Offices suites.
